Grove Place ADU

One thing we love is multi-generational living spaces. Whether it’s a traditional duplex, multiple SFRs on a single property, or a mother-in-law suite, we love the idea of several generations of family supporting one another and doing life together. We’re very grateful that one of our first projects in Idaho was just this. A very special family had purchased a house with a large backyard and zoning that would allow them to build an ADU for the grandparents to live in. They had plans and funds ready to go, but unfortunately, they were unable to find a contractor who could take on the project. Enter Malleus Construction, and the beginning of an amazing relationship with amazing clients.

What began as an empty corner in a large back yard ended as a 1,200 square foot ADU with a full kitchen, living space, laundry room, walk-in pantry, primary suite with a split bathroom to share with guests, and spacious office. From the exterior, this small but mighty ADU integrates seamlessly with the existing house, as if it had always been there. To top everything off, we built a small shed for storage, as a portion of the garage was taken up by the ADU. This lovely space is home to even lovelier people, and we feel honored to have built it for them.
